How to specify gift basket dimensions
A useful size brief starts with the items that must fit, then identifies which basket measurements need to be checked.
Start with the pack-out
Measure the actual items or use the packaging dimensions supplied by their makers. List each item, the quantity and the planned arrangement. Include fillers, inserts or dividers in the brief.
Compare the same measurement points
Confirm the basket’s external length, width and height, including whether handles, lids or protruding parts are counted. For internal fit, use the usable inside dimensions.
Record units and tolerances
State the units and the measurement method. Do not compare an internal pack-out size to an external product size as though they were equivalent.
